  • Spam Complaints are reports made by email recipients against emails they consider being unsolicited.
  • Unsubscribe is the cancellation of a subscription, for example, a mailing list.

2.2 Anti-Spam thresholds

2.3 Commandments

Below are five commandments, which every user of our services should obey:

All sending metrics are required to be within the InboxRoad Anti-Spam threshold.
List maintenance is important to stay below the Anti-Spam threshold. Correct bounce handling, send email campaigns people opt-in for and using an unsubscribe link are required to do this.

All senders need to have Opt-in. Sending to third-party lists or bought/rented lists is prohibited.
Sending email campaigns to third-party, bought or rented lists is not only illegal in most countries but also prohibited on the InboxRoad servers.

The sender identity (from name, from address, reply address) must be clearly communicated in every message sent.
This also includes the physical address of the company sending the email campaigns.

An unsubscribe link is obligatory in every email campaign.
Receivers must have an option to opt-out for receiving future communications.

All email campaigns should contain legitimate information.
Email campaigns that contain the following content are not allowed:

  • Gambling
  • Sexual adult content
  • Tobacco
  • Narcotics
  • Weapons
  • Political information
  • Hacking

As a user of our service you acknowledge that it is your sole responsibility to understand and comply with all provisions of the CAN-SPAM Act.
