Webhook feature upgrade! Better control, clarity, and security

We’ve updated the webhook feature, and now it’s more capable than ever. You can set up several webhooks for different tools, choose which events to send, and limit them to specific sending domains. Security has also improved, with new ways to verify requests and keep data safe.

The update makes it easier to keep your other systems in step with Inboxroad. CRMs, helpdesks, and analytics tools can all stay current automatically, without extra exports or manual checks.

Multiple Webhooks for Different Tools

You’re no longer limited to a single webhook. You can now create and manage multiple webhooks, each tailored to a specific tool or workflow.

For example, connect one webhook to your CRM to update contact statuses, another to your analytics platform for live dashboards, and a third to your support system to automatically open tickets for failed receipts.

Each webhook can be configured independently, with different events, domains, and security settings per integration.

Manage Multiple Domains

If you send from multiple domains or brands, you can select which domains to include in each webhook.

This gives you cleaner data separation between projects or clients, helps with deliverability tracking per domain, and simplifies operations for agencies or businesses running several brands under one account.

Track More Events

Webhooks now support a wider range of event types to give you a complete view of what’s happening with your emails.

In addition to delivery, bounce, complaint, and delay updates, you can track engagement events like opens, clicks, and unsubscribes.

This gives marketing and product teams both delivery accuracy and user interaction data instantly, all in one stream.

Enhanced Security and Verification

HMAC signatures and custom headers help verify requests.

Security has been strengthened. Every webhook uses HTTPS encryption, and you can add HMAC (SHA-256) signatures or custom headers to verify that requests truly come from Inboxroad.

These checks make it safer to integrate webhooks directly into production systems, preventing unauthorized submissions and ensuring message integrity.

Reliability and Validation Built In

The updated webhooks introduce smarter retry and validation logic. If your endpoint is temporarily unavailable, Inboxroad automatically retries sending events to help prevent data loss.

You can test a webhook before going live, and pause or reactivate it anytime in your dashboard. This means fewer gaps in delivery reporting and less manual monitoring.

Why This Update Matters

With these upgrades, Inboxroad webhooks offer a complete, flexible, and secure bridge between your email platform and the rest of your systems. You can:

  • Keep CRMs, helpdesks, and dashboards automatically in sync.
  • React instantly to delivery problems or engagement trends.
  • Manage multiple domains and tools with confidence.
  • Protect your data through encrypted, verified connections.

In short, the updated webhooks help your data move faster, cleaner, and safer—so teams can focus on action, not reconciliation.

FAQ

Do I need webhooks to stop bounces?
No. Inboxroad handles bounces internally. Webhooks keep your other systems in sync.

Can I create multiple webhooks?
Yes. For example, one for CRM, one for analytics, and another for testing.

Do webhooks work with tools like MailWizz or WordPress?
Yes. Any system that can accept HTTPS POST requests with JSON will work.

Can I send only specific events?
Yes. Choose which events to send and limit them to certain domains.

What happens if my endpoint goes down?
Inboxroad retries automatically with exponential backoff. If failures continue, the webhook is paused until you fix the endpoint and re-enable it.
