Inboxroad + Zapier Integration Guide

1. Introduction

The Inboxroad–Zapier integration adds Inboxroad into the Zapier ecosystem. It allows you to manage contacts in lists, control campaigns and react to events happening while your campaigns are running, all without writing a single line of code.

With this integration you can connect Inboxroad to 6.000+ apps via Zapier and automate your email workflows in minutes.

 

2. How to connect Inboxroad to Zapier?

Step 1: Open Zapier and create a new Zap.

Step 2: Add Inboxroad to your Zap as an Action or Trigger.

Step 3: Follow the prompts to start the authentication process. You will be redirected to Inboxroad to authorize the connection.

Step 4: Select your Inboxroad account from the dropdown. After completing the flow the window will close automatically. If you do not see a connected account in the Account field immediately, refresh the page.

Important: You cannot create new lists or campaigns from within Zapier. Make sure your lists and campaigns are set up in Inboxroad before building your Zap.

 

3. Inboxroad Actions

The following actions are available in Zapier:

Add or Update Contact Add a new contact to a list or update an existing one. After selecting a contact list, the available fields will update automatically, including fields that were added to the list after the Zap was created. Simply edit and republish the Zap to reflect the latest fields.

Delete Contact Remove a contact from a list. Requires only an email address.

Subscribe / Unsubscribe Contact Subscribe or unsubscribe a contact in a specific list. Both actions require an email address.

Suppress / Unsuppress Contact Suppress or unsuppress a contact at the account level. Both actions require only an email address and work using Inboxroad’s suppression feature.

Start / Pause / Get Stats of a Campaign Control your campaigns directly from Zapier. All three actions require a Campaign ID, which can be selected from a dropdown. The dropdown automatically filters eligible campaigns for Start and Pause actions.

Find Contact Look up a contact in a contact list by email address.

 

4. Use Cases

Sync Contacts Automatically into Inboxroad

Connect Inboxroad to your CRM, forms, spreadsheets or other lead sources to automatically keep your contact lists up to date.

For example:

• Add new Teamleader or Pipedrive leads directly to an Inboxroad list
• Sync Typeform or Webflow form submissions automatically
• Import new rows from Google Sheets into Inboxroad in real time

This eliminates manual imports and ensures new contacts instantly enter your email workflows.

React to Email Events in Real Time

Use Inboxroad triggers in Zapier to automatically respond to email engagement and delivery events.

For example:

• Send unsubscribe notifications to Slack or Microsoft Teams
• Log bounce events in Google Sheets
• Update CRM contact statuses when recipients click a link
• Trigger internal workflows based on opens, clicks or unsubscribes

This allows your team to build automated workflows around campaign activity and recipient behavior.

Automate Campaign Flows

Create fully automated campaign sequences by chaining campaigns together through Zapier.

For example:

• Automatically start Campaign B when Campaign A finishes
• Trigger onboarding or follow-up campaigns after a previous campaign ends
• Pause campaigns automatically based on external events or workflow conditions
• Trigger any campaign triggered by a Google Sheet form

5. Requirements

To use this integration, make sure you have:

• An active Inboxroad account
• An active Zapier account
• At least one contact list set up in Inboxroad
• A webhook available in your Inboxroad account (required for Triggers)
